Celebrate the Year of the Ox with Homemade Dumplings

Got any plans for the Lunar New Year?

We do: learn to make dumplings with Top Chef Master alum Anita Lo. She’ll take you through all the steps you need to recreate her famous pork, shrimp and chive dumplings. Then you get to chow down as you celebrate the Year of the Ox.

Click here to register for the Feb 12th class. It meets from 6.30-7.45pm EST.

Brooklyn Kitchen is also hosting a virtual dumpling class on Feb 13th at 2pm. Click here to register.

PS - Know why eating dumplings is such an important ritual during the lunar new year? Because they’re the same shape as ancient Chinese money and represent wishes for wealth in the coming year.

If you don’t make it to class these are our go-to NYC dumpling joints:

Joe's Shanghai - Chinatown

Red Farm - West Village, UWS

Kings County Imperial - Williamsburg

Oh Dumplings - Cobble Hill

Trader Joe's also has killer frozen dumplings and potstickers!
